RED ANTS INVADE NKAWKAW CENTRAL MARKET, DISINFECTION TO TAKE PLACE

There has been an infestation of red ants in the Nkawkaw central market causing discomfort to both sellers and buyers. The market which is located in the heart of Nkawkaw the capital of the Kwahu West District Assembly has for some time been experiencing abnormalities.

Joseph Krampah, environmental health officer in an interview on Delight Fm’s Morning Show ‘Me Man Nti’ Hosted by Wofa Agyenim Boateng said that, it has become very urgent for the Kwahu West Municipal Assembly to disinfest the market with immediate effect to kill all the red ants. The assembly is set to close down the market tomorrow June 6, 2020 and disinfect the place.

”All the food products should be covered to avoid any contamination. Stores without food items can open while the spraying goes on. Stores around the market can also open but the market will be fully open to all on Sunday morning June 7, 2020 where traders are expected to do a general cleaning before normal business resumes” he said. He also pleaded with traders to cope with the assembly for a successful exercise.
