NDC must unite against “oppressors’ rule” – Anita Desoso
A former first vice chairperson of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Anita Desoso has insisted that this is the time the party must unite to fight what appears “military dictatorship” displayed by the Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo led government.
According to the vociferous NDC stalwart, they (NDC) secured about 4 million votes out of the total 10 million votes cast in the previous elections held three years ago and these people are there to support them so they need just a little push to win the upcoming 2020 elections. Again she said, going forward, the party is ready to resist any intimidation from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) ahead of the 2020 polls.
Madam Desoso made these revelations on “Obuoba Kasa”, morning show of Nkawkaw based Obuoba FM hosted by Nana Darkwa.
“The NPP is trying to create confusion in our dear party by causing the arrest of the big wigs of the party which will lead to the total collapse of the party but we will not allow them, it all started from Ayawaso west Wuogon by-election and now they are using the state security agency to chase us” she bemoaned.
Anita Desoso who was speaking in reference to the party chairman’s arrest yesterday said NDC never harassed the NPP when they (NDC) were in power.
NDC national chairman Samuel Ofosu Ampofo was yesterday arrested on a bench warrant issued by an Accra high court to the Ghana police service and afterwards granted bail.
